Sneak Peek!

Lately I feel like my life is crazy and I don't have any time to relax! I am ready for the exterior of our house to be finished...getting closer every day! I have narrowed down some of my big selections, but I still have not made a decision on a bed! Here is a sneak peek of the first purchase made for the little girls room! I am doing a vintage theme with mix matched furniture! Can't wait to see how it all comes together!

I still need to find an antique armoire/wardrobe that is not expensive, a bed, a rocker and all the other necessities for a nursery! I could not find any bedding that I liked, but I did find some fabric. So my mom is making my bedding and I can't wait to see the finished product! What are your thoughts on bumper pads? I have read the positive and negatives to using them.

I get a little overwhelmed when I have to make all these decisions at once and feel like I am being pressured to make them fast. I am trying to just remind myself that I have time and there is no need to rush...it will get it finished. I am not gripping though...I am loving doing this and creating a nursery for our baby girl!

Oh, by the way, any girl name suggestions? We have one name that we like but it would be nice to have some other options! We like unusual names!!!

Don't rush, Lindsey. Take your time planning it all out, so you don't regret any choices! :)
I have 4 weeks left of this pregnancy, STILL haven't made his bedding (did FINALLY find fabric i liked), and his room is JUST NOW coming together. Just don't stress yourself out by rushing too quickly. It'll be a beautiful room!!! You're very design/fashion forward (or at least that's what I remember :) ), so I know it will be beautiful. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
Having to come up with a SECOND boy's name was terribly difficult, but there are so many pretty, unique girls' names out there, you'll find a good one. Are you thinking more modern, or more "vintage" in the name area??

OH, and bumper pads! We use(d) them. But we also had Aythen in a crib wedge that kept him still and in place until he could figure out how to use his legs to push himself out of them. We've never had any issues with the pads, since his neck muscles never prevented him from moving/turning his head. So, although there are reviews for both, I never questioned our choice. He's never put himself in a "compromising" position with his. Plus, it kept him from bonking his head on the side of the crib.
just my 2 cents!

Right now the name we have would prob fall under the more modern name category

BreathableBaby® Breathable Bumper @ Onestepahead.com. Can be an option if you are concerned about the safety issues that bumpers are known for.

I have friends of mine who struggled with infertility and they waited and hoped for a baby and the verse they claimed was Faith is being sure of what you hoped for and certain of what you do not see. And when they got pregnant and had their little girl they named her Faith. I think it is a beautiful testimony name! I like names that tell stories.

Love the vintage theme! I bet it is going to turn out great! Can't wait to see pics of the finished product.

Bumper pads:I prefer them. I think it is a cute addition to a baby bed. too plain without it. I also like the is cuts down of visual stimulants. I prefer to train my kiddos to go to sleep on their own, instead of being rocked, nursed, walked (ect) to go to sleep. (I've learned this through much trial and error. haha!)
anyway, I think that the bumper pad gives them something to stare at without being overwhelmed at all the different sights in their room. When I lay Kellen down to sleep he stares at his bumper pads until he drifts off the sleep. I think without it he would have too much to look at and be stimulated instead of realxed.
I tend to take the bumper pad out when they become mobile.

I also really recommend a sleep wedge. L and R used one for months.

Names: I think Jessica is a great name. ;)

I bought the breathable baby bumper pads for Ayden. I didn't have any with Cade and he got his legs stuck between the slats in the crib all the time. I definitely think you need some sort of something to cover the slats.

BTW...Kristine is a good name...my middle name...lol.
